The Day I Went Back to Coupang Just to Clock Out
Early this morning, I finished my shift at a Coupang logistics center. Because the employee shuttle was about to leave, I hurried out of the building and forgot to clock out in the Coupunch app.
Only four minutes after the shuttle departed did I realize that I had not clocked out. After arriving at my destination, I waited for an hour and then took a shuttle carrying the day-shift workers back to Coupang Center 00.
After completing the clock-out procedure at the center, I headed home again. I had originally planned to take another day-labor shift that day, but I decided that working again without enough sleep would be too difficult. In the end, I canceled the shift because I had not had enough sleep.
After arriving home, I took a shower because I was drenched in sweat. Perhaps because of the stress of doing physical labor during the heat wave, I had been constipated for several days. I drank a prune beverage, went to the bathroom several times, and finally fell asleep during the day.
The heat wave continues, but starting tomorrow I plan to work regularly at the Coupang logistics center again. The income is better than I expected. I also do other work on days when I am not scheduled at the Coupang center, so I expect to have about 500,000 won left each week, or about 2 million won each month, even after paying my living expenses.
Strictly speaking, it is not savings so much as money left after paying my living expenses.
However, I plan to spend all of this money on a Mac mini and memory for artificial intelligence workloads. The memory alone is currently expected to cost about 15 million won.
In the past, 2 million won would have been enough to buy the same amount of memory. Now, however, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix have raised memory prices, and distribution margins have pushed the final cost even higher, meaning that I would have to pay about 15 million won.
I wonder whether anyone still praises Samsung Electronics and SK hynix unconditionally under these circumstances.
When I woke up after a long sleep, it was already evening. I went to Osan Station, bought Sleepel, an over-the-counter sleep aid, at a nearby pharmacy, and then ordered jjolmyeon at the Osan Station branch of Gimbap Cheonguk. I visit this restaurant often.

The jjolmyeon at this restaurant has a distinctive flavor. The sauce and perilla oil complement each other, creating a taste that is difficult to find at other restaurants. It is hard to describe the flavor precisely. The slightly spicy and tangy sauce goes well with the nutty aroma of the perilla oil. The dish was topped with bean sprouts, cabbage, cucumber, sprouts, and half a boiled egg.

It was quite an eventful day.
